A warm welcome to students from Philippines

Malugod na pagbati sa mga mag-aaral mula sa Pilipinas!

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is a global leader in public health and infectious disease research. With students, staff, and alumni from over 190 countries, we are proud to have a vibrant community of international students who contribute to our academic excellence and global perspective. This page provides specific information for applicants from Philippines, including entry requirements, programmes on offer, and support available to help you thrive at LSHTM.

LSHTM has research and education links with the Philippines in areas including infectious diseases, public health and school health. Through the Nagasaki–LSHTM Joint PhD Programme for Global Health, researchers have supported doctoral work on the clinical and molecular epidemiology of central nervous system infections at San Lazaro Hospital in Manila.

LSHTM also works with partners and policymakers from the Philippines through global health initiatives such as the Research Consortium for School Health and Nutrition. Recent activity included a study visit bringing Philippine government officials together with international partners to learn from large-scale school meals programmes and strengthen evidence-informed policy.

For students from the Philippines, LSHTM offers a place to connect practical public health experience with research questions that matter across Southeast Asia and beyond, from infectious disease control to health systems and nutrition policy.
