A tailored programme with dedicated academic, professional, and career support
Our intercalation programme goes well beyond the traditional MSc offer. We provide a purposefully designed study programme for intercalating medics. This includes dedicated academic advisors selected for their clinical and professional backgrounds, and for their understanding of the specific opportunities and challenges students face during their intercalated year.
Students benefit from a strong peer network and sense of community, alongside tailored academic and pastoral support. They have access to a wealth of frontline experience among LSHTM’s clinical academics and global networks, as well as targeted networking and career development opportunities that help them explore and prepare for a wide range of future pathways.
A key component of the programme is the independent research project, which strengthens students’ research and analytical skills while opening up additional academic and professional opportunities beyond clinical practice. We also work closely with partner institutions’ advisory and recruitment teams to ensure a joined-up, well-supported student journey.
