A warm welcome to students from Netherlands

Hartelijk welkom aan internationale studenten uit Nederland!

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is a global leader in public health and infectious disease research. With students, staff, and alumni from over 190 countries, we are proud to have a vibrant community of international students who contribute to our academic excellence and global perspective. This page provides specific information for applicants from Netherlands, including entry requirements, programmes on offer, and support available to help you thrive at LSHTM.

LSHTM works with Dutch partners in areas including climate and environmental health, infectious diseases and population health. Through the SPRINGS consortium, LSHTM collaborates with institutions including Amsterdam UMC, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, IHE Delft and the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment to study how climate change may affect water systems, pathogens and diarrhoeal disease risk.

LSHTM also collaborates with Dutch institutions on population health and disease outcomes research. This includes work with Amsterdam UMC and the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment on the longer-term impact of Group B streptococcal disease, as well as participation in CO-CREATE, a European project involving the Netherlands that focuses on adolescent engagement and obesity-prevention policy.

For students from the Netherlands, LSHTM offers a place to connect strong analytical training with global public health questions. It is particularly suited to those interested in working across research, policy and practice.
