Graduation

Graduation is taking place on Monday 26 April and Tuesday 27 April 2021

2021 Graduation and COVID-19

Why is there no 2021 in-person graduation ceremony?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic - current UK Government guidance, travel restrictions for international attendees and the long-lead-time required to arrange a graduation ceremony - LSHTM has taken the difficult decision not to host an in-person ceremony. This decision has been reached with graduand, guest and staff health and safety in mind.

What is being planned instead of an in-person graduation ceremony?

We will be offering a virtual graduation ceremony in April 2021 that still offers engagement and a chance to celebrate.

We will then arrange an in-person graduation reception for graduands to celebrate at a later date.  This will include the opportunity to hire gowns and have official photos.  Details will be communicated once UK restrictions are lifted and international travel is possible.

Will I be able to attend a graduation ceremony in-person at a later date?

Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that we will be able to offer replacement graduation ceremonies at a later date.

We will arrange an in-person graduation reception for graduands to celebrate at a later date.  This will include the opportunity to hire gowns and have official photos.  Details will be communicated once UK restrictions are lifted and international travel is possible.
