Training: Essentials Of Clinical Trials

The MRC/UVRI & LSHTM Uganda Research Unit will hold a four-day, in-person essentials of clinical trials short course from 5–8 October 2026 in Entebbe.

The course is designed to build participants’ foundational knowledge and practical skills in the principles and practice of clinical trials. Through interactive sessions and practical learning, participants will strengthen their understanding of how clinical trials are designed, conducted, monitored, analysed and reported, with a focus on Good Clinical Practice (GCP), randomisation, statistical considerations, data monitoring and protocol development.

Who Should Apply?

The course is suitable for students, researchers, clinicians, study coordinators, data managers, statisticians, laboratory professionals and other members of clinical research or trial teams seeking to strengthen their knowledge and practical understanding of clinical trials.

  • Mode of delivery: In person
  • Venue: UVRI Training Room, Entebbe
  • Laptop requirement: Participants must bring their own laptop
  • Selected participants must be available for the full four-day course.
