Women, adolescents, and children health amid global challenges
Lecture on contemporary global health issue
Women, adolescents and children are among the most affected by today’s emerging global challenges. Climate shocks, emerging diseases, conflict, displacement, population pressures and economic instability are not only reshaping daily life, but they are also deepening inequities and eroding hard-won gains in health and wellbeing. At the same time, an unprecedented surge of misinformation is distorting public understanding, fueling distrust, and undermining lifesaving interventions.
This lecture exposes how these intersecting forces interact to threaten women, adolescent and child health across diverse settings. Drawing on global evidence and real-world examples, it highlights the urgent need for resilient health systems, community-centered strategies, and clear, credible communication.
