2026-27 LSHTM First Generation Scholarship (Distance Learning)

Introduction

LSHTM’s distance learning programmes offer a great study option that allows you to fit your education around work and home life commitments wherever you are in the world, providing a world-class qualification in public and global health.

Enabling the most talented students from all backgrounds to study at LSHTM is a key strategic priority. As outlined in the Strategy to Promote Access and Widening Participation, LSHTM wants to be a place where students from diverse backgrounds feel they belong, can thrive, and are valued for their unique contribution.

As part of this work, LSHTM is offering a scholarship to support students in the completion of a master’s degree by distance learning. These initiatives are designed to enable excellent students from groups who have been historically underrepresented in Higher Education at the postgraduate level to study, feel a sense of belonging and succeed at LSHTM.
