Advancing the nutrition of school-age children and adolescents in Africa

The 9th African Nutrition Conference took place in Cape Coast, Ghana on 8 October. Organised by the Consortium’s Nutrition Community of Practice, the regional symposium highlighted the latest evidence on the importance of nutrition beyond the first 1,000 days of life. The meeting showcased case studies on the impact and value-for-money of school feeding initiatives in Africa. The participants agreed on the urgent need for an Africa-specific Community of Practice focused on the health and nutrition of school-age children and adolescents.
