​​Anorectal HPV and cytological alterations in men living with HIV in Chile​

​​Data on HPV anorectal infection in developing countries is scarce. In this small study in Santiago of Chile, it was found that around 80% of anal samples taken from men living with HIV were positive for high-risk HPV types, and 50% had cytological alterations. During this lecture, Physician ​​Tomás Reyes will show attendees the work that is done in the ID Department and generate contacts for future cooperation.​

​​Tomás Reyes is an Infectious Diseases Physician at the Faculty of the Department of Infectious Diseases, School of Medicine, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Currently working at the University Hospital and in the outpatient clinic, which is mainly composed of care for people living with HIV, PrEP, and STI consultations.​
