Accessing electronic resources

External Members can read and download most of the electronic resources LSHTM has access to whilst in the Library on a ‘walk-in’ basis. Please note that this excludes many of LSHTM Library’s databases and some other online materials too.

Access is enabled by logging on to the lshtm-visitor Wi-Fi. This network allows automatic access to all e-resources which LSHTM is permitted to share with those external to LSHTM whilst on site.

External Members may:

  • Access a limited list of electronic resources.
  • Download single copies of articles and other electronic publications for personal, non-commercial use.

External Members may not:

  • Use LSHTM computer facilities – External Members need to bring their own devices with them.
  • Access electronic resources other than those enabled via lshtm-visitor Wi-Fi for on-site use only.
  • Pass a downloaded resource to another person.

Users of electronic resources must comply with the licence terms and conditions - including copyright restrictions specified by the publishers - of any e-resources accessed whilst on-site at LSHTM.
