About
Insight and impact on health can only be achieved through the application of robust and valid quantitative methods to the available data. The statistical methodology theme aims to develop and evaluate state-of-the art statistical and machine learning techniques to address major questions in global health. Some of the key portfolios of work undertaken within this theme include: missing data, causal inference, survival analysis, time-series analysis and policy evaluation.
This theme continues the work of the School’s former Centre for Statistical Methodology (CSM), which was founded in 2012 and gained international recognition for methodological excellence.
