The AMR Centre responds to the IACG consultation

The Interagency Coordination Group (IACG) on AMR, which is due to report to the United Nations Secretary-General in 2019, produced two sets of papers following a consultation with the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and subsequently invited all interested stakeholders to provide feedback on them. The first set of papers focused on R&D, National Action Plans and surveillance and monitoring and it was shared along with consolidated comments from an open consultation. The second set of papers dealth with governance, optimisation and bridging the gap between communication and collective action on AMR.

AMR Centre members met and discussed the two sets of papers. Their comments and recommendations have been summarised in a document which constitutes our formal response to the IACG consultation.
