World Health Day 2017 - Talk on Global Mental Health: Can talking therapies help?
To celebrate World Health Day 2017 on 7th April, where this year the theme is 'Depression: Let's Talk', Professor Ricardo Araya will be giving a talk titled: 'Global Mental Health: Can talking therapies help? Experience from other cultures' at the IOPPN, in the Robin Murray Room.
Prof Ricardo Araya has recently joined KCL as Professor of Global Mental Health. His research interests include the aetiology of common mental disorders, inequalities and their link to the mental health of populations with special emphasis on international comparisons, and effective treatments for common mental disorders, such as simple and brief interventions using non-medical workers and strong community participation.
