COVID-19 Live Q&A #5 on vaccines with Mark Jit, Pauline Paterson and Beate Kampmann

COVID-19 vaccines Live Q&A #5 takes place on Friday 4 December at 14.00GMT / 09.00EST on LSHTM Twitter and YouTube

Safety. Misinformation. Roll-out. The exciting recent COVID-19 vaccine announcements from Pfizer/Biontech, Moderna, University of Oxford-AstraZeneca are great cause for optimism. But we are in unchartered territory. Never before have vaccines been developed at this speed, billions of doses need to be made and accepted, and the world faces an 'infodemic'.

This poses many questions. Now you have a chance to speak directly with the experts in LSHTM’s fifth live Q&A with  Professor Mark Jit, Dr Pauline Paterson and Professor Beate Kampmann.

Speakers

Mark Jit is Professor of Vaccine Epidemiology and a member of LSHTM’s Vaccine Centre and Centre for the Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases.

Pauline Paterson is Assistant Professor at LSHTM and Co-Director of the Vaccine Confidence Project.

Beate Kampmann is Professor of Paediatric Infection & Immunity, and Director of LSHTM's Vaccine Centre.

The session will be hosted by broadcast journalist and former Al Jazeera news anchor, Felicity Barr.

We welcome submission of questions in advance to comms@lshtm.ac.uk, or tune in live and submit via our YouTube or Twitter.
