IMPACT AMR Network seminar
The IMPACT AMR Network (impactamr.org) takes a transdisciplinary approach to improving the use of evidence to inform prioritization of efforts to impact antimicrobial resistance. In 2026, the Network’s seminar series invites speakers for each event to present their work on a particular theme or case study around prioritisation.
The third seminar of this series presents ‘AMR Intervention Impacts - Findings from a Rapid Systematic Umbrella Review.’
Join Dr Kristina Aluzaite as we build on a prior IMPACT AMR workshop during which we gathered input and opinion on AMR intervention impact metrics (Defining the Impacts of Antimicrobial Resistance Interventions Through a One Health Lens: Findings from the IMPACT AMR Workshop). This interactive seminar will present findings from a rapid umbrella review of 80 systematic reviews examining AMR interventions across human, animal, and environmental health.
The session will introduce a proposed taxonomy for organising AMR intervention impacts and metrics and will provide an opportunity to discuss and critically reflect on the outputs produced so far. We will also compare the findings from the literature with those from the workshop findings, considering which impact metrics are commonly used versus those that may be considered important but remain poorly-captured. We particularly hope to gather feedback on the taxonomy, interpretation of the findings, and their implications for AMR intervention prioritisation, as well as to identify potential contributions to the resulting publication.
We especially hope to hear from researchers, decision-makers, and others who are measuring, capturing, or using evidence on AMR intervention impacts in their work, as well as anyone interested in how this work is developing.
