Educational/professional background
I grew up near Brighton and studied my undergrad at Lancaster University before coming to LSHTM and KCL. Whilst studying psychology, I found my niche in global research focussing on addiction in marginalised groups.
Research interests or career goals
I now intend to use this masters to further develop my skills and continue on to a PhD. Eventually I hope to work for non-governmental organisations advising on drug policy and supporting the harm reduction movement around the world.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose this programme because it allowed me to further explore decolonisation in the context of mental health, as well as learning about epidemiology, a discipline that I had not even heard of until applying for this course!
Extra information
I am happy to advise prospective students on studying in London, sorting the boring admin of moving cities as a home student, and anything related to the MSc Global Mental Health course.
