World Immunisation Week 2025

For the Vaccine Centre at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, World Immunisation Week is an important annual opportunity to celebrate vaccine success stories, dive deep into the latest research findings and highlight the power of vaccines to protect health.
“Now more than ever, vaccines need advocates. We have a responsibility to redress negativity about vaccines and focus attention on the benefits and success stories.” Quote by the Vaccine Centre Co-Directors

Podcast series

In 2025 the Vaccine Centre placed a special focus on the breadth of research undertaken by colleagues  based in London, at the MRC Unit The Gambia at LSHTM and at the MRC/Uganda Virus Research Institute and LSHTM Uganda Research Unit. A series of podcasts throughout the week highlighted the work undertaken by researchers at all stages of their career, ranging from lab-based work, to anthropological approaches and clinical trials.
