Work with us
At the Global Health Economics Centre, we are always seeking new opportunities to collaborate on exciting projects, as part of our vision to strengthen links between health economics and public health. This includes working with colleagues throughout the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and with external collaborators, to offer our expertise in projects that require a health economics perspective.
Whether you are looking for a health economist to help develop a funding proposal or need health economics expertise for an ongoing project, we would love to help.
Please note that this page does not cover job opportunities from the Centre. Any job vacancies, including those affiliated with us, will be listed on the Current Vacancies section of LSHTM jobs website.

Why work with us
We are proud to host one of the largest groups of health economists in the world. Our members work on cutting-edge methodological developments and empirical research within health economics and public health. In particular, we have considerable experience and expertise in conducting cost-effectiveness analyses alongside trials of interventions.
We work across a diverse range of contexts globally, which includes strong partnerships within the UK, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Ghana, Uganda, Nepal, and India.
We work closely with researchers and policymakers in many countries and UN institutions, including WHO, as well as other academic and policy institutions, donors, international and local NGOs. Many of our members also have a wealth of experience applying their insights into policy, and advise national governments, international agencies, and other NGOs.
Our portfolio of research spans across five themes:
- Economic evaluation and priority setting
- Policy evaluation
- Health systems, financing and organisations
- Preferences, behaviour and outcomes
- Macroeconomics of health
More information on the expertise each theme is available on the ‘Research’ page of website, as well as examples of projects from each theme on the ‘Projects’ page.
