I am a member of the Brain Health Group at LSHTM. We work to understand the epidemiology of brain conditions worldwide. I bring extensive expertise in using electronic healthcare records data to the team. My NIHR Advanced fellowship (2021-2026) used complex descriptive epidemiology studies of narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnoea to show how electronic health record data can be used to improve access to diagnosis and care. Before this, I investigated risk of cardiovascular disease in cancer survivors.
My research at LSHTM builds on my previous role supporting the development and use of UK electronic health care records at the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD). I have a PhD (by published work) in Health Sciences from the University of Warwick, an MSc in Modern Epidemiology from Imperial College London, a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. I previously worked in the global pharmaceutical industry. I am a Trustee and Director of Narcolepsy UK.

I am a module organiser for the "Thinking Like a Health Data Scientist" MSc module which covers key considerations and decisions that need to be made by health data scientists concerning ethics, information governance, data scope and quality. I am a PhD supervisor, tutor MSc Health Data Science students, and supervise MSc summer projects.
