A closing event marking the end of the Fleming Fund will reflect on its decade-long impact supporting low- and middle-income countries to combat antimicrobial resistance through data, training, and global collaboration.
As the Fund draws to a close, Toby Leslie and Heidi Hopkins from the Fleming Fund will share reflections on its activities, achievements, and lessons learned for the global AMR community. Established a decade ago, the Fleming Fund supported low- and middle-income countries to generate, share, and use data to improve antimicrobial usage and encourage investment in antimicrobial resistance. LSHTM’s AMR Centre will mark the close of the Fleming Fund Programme, a UK Government-funded initiative that trained health professionals across Africa and Asia to track and tackle drug-resistant infections, with leading experts reflecting on its impact and legacy.
