I am a research fellow at LSHTM with experience of using large-scale primary and secondary care electronic health records in the UK and population-based cohort studies in the Netherlands. I hold a Master of Pharmacy degree underpinned by several years of professional experience working as a pharmacist in the UK. Subsequently, I obtained a masters in Epidemiology at Maastricht University in the Netherlands during which I investigated the link between hyperglycameia, insulin resistance and depression using data from the Maastricht study. I then undertook a PhD in Epidemiology at LSHTM whereby I investigated the link between common infections, dementia and cognitive impairment using routinely collected electronic health records. Currently, research focuses on statins and primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
