Educational/professional background

I am a public health professional with over 10 years of international work experience across several countries. I graduated from the University of Bologna with a bachelor's degree in nursing, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Tropical Nursing from LSHTM and a project management course from the Open University UK. I recently graduated from LSHTM with a Master's in Public Health for Development.

What I enjoyed most about studying my programme/at LSHTM

Because students must have prior job experience to enter the programme, peer-to-peer learning is one of the most distinctive elements of the MSc Public Health for Development. In Term 2, I enjoyed working with other students throughout the stages of project proposal writing and then the work I conducted as part of the summer project which allowed me to acquire strong research and data analysis skills. I chose to study at LSHTM because of the excellent reputation and world-class academics the School has. As an alumnus, I am honoured to be a member of the team and look forward to continue this lifetime journey with LSHTM.

Research interests or career goals

My current research interests are to investigate the impact of natural hazards on malnutrition rates in the Sahel region. I am ready to work in health policy focusing on international development and vulnerable populations such as children, adolescents, and young mothers now that I have completed the MSc. The ultimate goal is to improve health worldwide.

If you have any questions concerning the degree I completed or about being a student at LSHTM, please do not hesitate to contact me. This will be life-changing opportunity for you.
