Educational/professional background
Salam! I'm Rawan, a Chevening Scholar and Physiotherapist, graduating from Ahfad University for Women in 2018, I dedicated six years to children's rehabilitation in my country, notably leading a Clubfoot Program. Advocating for the rights of children and raising awareness about this treatable condition.
Research interests or career goals
My research interest integrates pediatric physiotherapy, strengthening health systems, and child rights advocacy in low- and middle-income countries. Specifically, I am interested in developing sustainable, equitable models for integrating rehabilitation and nutrition programs into existing primary healthcare frameworks to increase access and improve the long-term well-being of children with disabilities.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I came for the world-class expertise and quantitative skills. I want to learn from the best to design sustainable systems for children in low-resource settings.
