Cheung Wing Tung Rachel is a final-year MBBS student and President's Scholar at the University of Hong Kong, working at the intersection of clinical medicine, health policy, and global health governance. She holds an MSc Public Health (Health Services Management) from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where her dissertation examined policy options to strengthen Hong Kong's Strategy and Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance.
Rachel is a member of the Quadripartite Working Group on Youth Engagement for AMR, convened by FAO, UNEP, WHO and WOAH, co-chair of the Youth Engagement Task Force on AMR in Asia-Pacific at ReAct Asia Pacific and a member of the YOUNGO Health Working Group. She previously served as Standing Committee on Public Health External Affairs Assistant for Advocacy and Regional Assistant for Asia-Pacific at the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA), where she coordinated global advocacy and policy development across climate change, antimicrobial resistance, noncommunicable diseases and tobacco control, and represented youth groups in WHO and UN processes.
