Student | Full-time | IndonesiaMSc Public Health
Educational/professional background
I am a general practitioner from Indonesia with clinical experience in both primary and secondary care. I have worked in urban and rural settings, which has given me a broad perspective on healthcare inequities in Indonesia. Alongside clinical practice, I have been involved in several research projects across various clinical departments, gaining experience in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
Research interests or career goals
My main interests are child and adolescent health, sexual and reproductive health and rights, health promotion, and community-based interventions. In the future, I aim to improve adolescent health in resource-limited settings by expanding access to youth-friendly services and implementing culturally relevant sexuality education.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
LSHTM is globally recognised as a leading institution in public health. Moreover, many of the staff at LSHTM have carried out inspiring projects that align with my research interests. The wide range of module options also allows me to tailor my studies to my goals. Being a postgraduate-only institution, I really enjoy the close-knit and collaborative environment in LSHTM where it’s easy to connect and learn from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
