Educational/professional background
Hello! My name is Phoebe, and I am from Oregon, USA. I earned my BA from Oberlin College in 2024, majoring in Biology with concentrations in Education and Global Health. After graduating, I spent a year in Lanzarote, Spain, on a Fulbright grant, working as an English instructor for primary school students. This experience provided me with the opportunity to put pedagogical theories into practical experiences.
Research interests or career goals
While abroad, I realized that I wanted to continue studying public health, particularly in understanding how education and promotion efforts can improve health worldwide. I aim to work in the public health education sector before pursuing nursing school, with the goal of becoming a public health nurse.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I selected LSHTM for its distinguished global reputation, accomplished alumni network, and diverse student body. LSHTM also offers extensive courses and has many robust research opportunities. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
