I am a consultant ophthalmologist and completed my medical and ophthalmology training in Scotland.
Research interests or career goals
I have an interest in improving access to eye care in low-resource settings to prevent and treat avoidable blindness and ophthalmic morbidity; my longterm goal is to work in both clinical ophthalmology and public health careers to achieve this.
Why I chose LSHTM / my programme
I chose LSHTM because it is the only programme in the world that offers a Public Health Master's degree that is specific to eye care. In addition, LSHTM is one of the leading universities for Public Health with a strong global network.
