Educational/professional background
I am a current PhD student at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in the Faculty of Public Health and Policy, within the Global Health and Development Department. I hold a BA in Psychology from the University of Zambia and an MSc in Research Methods in Psychology from Anglia Ruskin University, UK. With over 11 years of experience in non-profit organizations in Zambia, I currently work as a Study Manager on a tuberculosis (TB) research project. I’m passionate about global health, social impact, and empowering others through research and knowledge sharing.
Research interests or career goals
My research interests include using qualitative methods to understand people’s experiences and turn their stories into meaningful change. Currently, I’m exploring how a novel TB screening tool with an AI component can be used to improve the rapid interpretation of results by engaging a range of stakeholders
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I was drawn to LSHTM for its strong global research networks and close collaborations, particularly in Zambia through Zambart. The collaborative project I’m currently involved in aligns perfectly with my goal of becoming a social science researcher skilled in qualitative methods and committed to generating insights that drive real-world impact.
