Educational/professional background

I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2024 where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in public health sciences. During the year between my undergraduate degree and starting at LSHTM, I worked as a health unit coordinator at a hospital in Chicago.  

Research interests or career goals

My public health interests span a wide range, such as behavioral health, chronic disease, and maternal health. I am interested in working at a biotech company, but what is most important to me is that I have a positive impact on the health of others through my career.

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

Since a young age, I knew that I wanted to study in another country. I was instantly drawn to LSHTM because of its specific focus on public health, esteemed worldwide reputation, and international community of students and faculty. I was confident that everyone I would encounter would also be passionate about public health while simultaneously coming from a diverse range of backgrounds and perspectives. I chose health data science as a way to continue my education in public health while fostering growth in my statistics and computer science skills - both of which are important in this growing technology reliant world.
