Educational/professional background
I received my bachelor's degree from Columbia University in 2021. Prior to LSHTM, I assisted on sexual and reproductive health studies at the Guttmacher Institute.
Research interests or career goals
I am broadly interested in the causes and consequences of global family change, and their relationship to population health and aging. Since graduation, I've been working as a data analyst on a community cohort study of people living with HIV. I hope to eventually pursue doctoral studies and continue producing scholarship to inform public policy.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I wanted to strengthen my training in population studies--both in formal demography and population theory. The MSc Demography & Health programme helped me gain foundational skills in methods and theory. It was also wonderful to learn from and collaborate with students across multiple disciplines in public health and related sciences.
