Educational/professional background

I am a family and public health physician working in a provincial hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima, Northeastern Thailand. My experience in a rural medical school training shaped my curiosity about health system development, addressing health disparities and inefficiencies of rural areas while concerning the scarce resources. 

Early in my career, I actively served on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic, both as a primary care practitioner and a principal investigator of COVID-19 outbreak investigation. These experiences inspired me to pursue the MSc Public Health for Global Practice at LSHTM, to find the “missing pieces” needed to transform evidence and frontline expertise into tangible policies and actions.

What I enjoyed most about studying my programme/at LSHTM

LSHTM allowed me to re-examine my own experience, ideas, and world view through a different view. From inspiring lectures and thought-provoking seminars to casual conversations in the corridors, I have learned from people around the world—each with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, yet united by the same goal: improving health and equity for all. LSHTM also provides abundant resources to support the learning experience. I have enjoyed easy access to the library and literature services, student mentoring and support system, and opportunities for socialising and networking.

Since graduating I have been...

I have returned to my previous workplace, serving in the same department at the provincial hospital in my hometown. However, I now approach my work with a fresh perspective, critically “seeing things through a different lens”. I have become more optimistic about tackling everyday challenges in public health, professional life, and even daily life, thanks to a deeper understanding of how things work—from local to global levels.

I am currently collaborating with local partners to apply the knowledge and experience gained at LSHTM, aiming to create meaningful impact within my community and beyond.
