Educational/professional background
After completing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I have worked as a clinical nurse, volunteer, and a field manager of international health project in diverse settings, including South Korea, Uganda, and Lao PDR. In particular, I served as the Field Manager for a KOICA maternal and child health project in Laos, where I focused on strengthening local health activities, improving nutrition, and supporting monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
Research interests or career goals
My primary goal is to enhance health equity within communities and to design sustainable public health policies. I am especially interested in strengthening health systems in resource-limited settings. I aim to grow as a public health professional who can integrate voices from the field into policy development and contribute meaningfully to international development cooperation.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
Having spent several years managing maternal and child health projects in low-resource settings, I was looking for a programme that offers both rigorous academic training and practical relevance. I was drawn to LSHTM for its curriculum that integrates theory and real-world application, as well as its strong international network. Studying alongside peers from diverse countries will allow me to broaden my global perspective on addressing health inequalities.
