Educational/professional background

I am a medical doctor from Indonesia and have working experience in various Indonesian healthcare facilities. Coming from a clinical background, my work settings included primary to secondary care, and preventive to curative measures, covering both public and private sectors. I also had a research assistant experience in the pediatric department of one of the teaching hospitals in Indonesia.

Research interests or career goals

My main interest stems from my working experience in the past three years which mainly involved healthcare for women and children. In the future, I hope to be involved in community health projects, especially health promotion programmes, that can develop a supporting and safe environment for pregnant women and also children in growing up to their best potential.

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

Unlike many other universities, the MSc Public Health programme in LSHTM offers various elective modules, in a number that is more than compulsory ones. This facilitates me in tailoring my study experience according to my interests and needs. Additionally, LSHTM is known for its robust research practices and its alumni spreads across the globe carrying work to improve health worldwide.
