Emma Rogers

Educational/professional background

I completed an HBSc. in Immunology and International Relations at the University of Toronto in 2022. I also worked as a research assistant for University Health Network, the Canadian Centre for Responsibility to Protect (CCR2P) and the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy throughout my undergraduate degree.

Research interests or career goals

I would eventually like to attend medical school and become a clinician-scientist in the realm of sexual and reproductive health.

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

I am completing the MSc Public Health to acquire the skills necessary to conduct mixed-methods research. The core courses (e.g. Basic Epidemiology, Basic Statistics for Public Health Practice and Principles of Social Research) offer instruction in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, which will be invaluable to me one day as a researcher in sexual and reproductive health.
