Educational/professional background

I completed my undergraduate degree at the Royal Veterinary College studying Bioveterinary Science. In my final year I began focusing my modules on a variety of diseases and their epidemiology and control which led me to pick this programme.

Research interests or career goals

My research interests include the control of neglected tropical diseases and zoonoses with a particular interest in parasitic diseases. I am particularly motivated by the inequality surrounding these diseases and the disproportionate burdens placed on lower- and middle-income countries.

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

I chose to study here at LSHTM due to its incredible academic reputation and vision, which I resonate with strongly. The MSc Control of Infectious Diseases particularly stood out to me due to its diverse range of modules and the professionals that teach within them, allowing me to focus on modules that support my career goals and explore new topics that interest me.
