Educational/professional background
I completed my undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Surrey, where I developed a strong interest in how data and AI can be used to improve healthcare systems.
Research interests or career goals
My current interests lie in the application of machine learning and statistical modelling in medicine, particularly within pharmaceutical research in cardiology, neurology and dementia.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose LSHTM because it perfectly aligns with my goals of bridging data science and public health. When I attended the Open Day, speaking with staff and students really confirmed that this was the right course for me. I’m currently funded by the NIHR Pre-Doctoral Fellowship, which has given me the opportunity to explore statistical methods for health data in greater depth.
