Educational/professional background

I studied Biomedical Science for my undergraduate degree and completed a placement year in the NHS haematology laboratories. I currently work as a Senior Assistant Technical Officer, supporting the pharmacy side of clinical trial delivery. This has given me exposure to a variety of trials run by different organisations and has hence helped me connect my studies with practice.

Research interests or career goals

After finishing my MSc, I would love to work as an epidemiologist or clinical trial coordinator. I have a strong interest in the epidemiology of non-communicable diseases. I would love to further understand the potential role of ultra-processed foods in their development.

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

I chose LSHTM because of its strong reputation for teaching and the opportunities it offers to grow professionally and personally. I chose Epidemiology because I’ve always been curious about the relationships between health outcomes and potential risk factors.
