Educational/professional background

I have an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and industry experience in biopharma having completed a professional placement at Pfizer UK as a Clinical Scientist (Vaccines EvGen department). I worked on a number of global clinical epidemiological studies providing operational, scientific and administrative support. I also have a part-time job in health/social care supporting disabled children and young adults in my local community. 

My interest in the science and future of healthcare pushed me to come straight from undergrad to LSHTM! I'm now studying MSc Public Health - General Stream.

Research interests or career goals

Public Health is a new and exciting field for me, after the MSc I want to make meaningful contributions improving healthcare access and inequity. I'm passionate about science communication and my current interests are in health policy/strategy as well as links between the environment and health. I am also a Student Liaison Officer for the LSHTM Vaccine Centre. I hope my dynamic and unique experience at LSHTM will guide my future career path.

LSHTM stood out to me as one of the best places to study public health globally! The academically rigorous environment, diverse syllabus and wider student community make it an amazing place to learn and grow. It's a challenging but rewarding degree and experience.
