Educational/professional background
I have an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and industry experience having worked at Pfizer UK as a Clinical Scientist (Vaccines EvGen department). I worked on several global clinical epidemiological studies providing operational, scientific, and administrative support. I have also worked in frontline health/social care supporting disabled children and young adults in my local community.
What I enjoyed most about studying my programme/at LSHTM
LSHTM stood out to me as one of the best places to study public health globally! The academically rigorous environment and wider student community make it an amazing place to learn and grow. It's a challenging but rewarding degree and experience. I really enjoyed the variety of modules and the opportunity to work as a Student Liaison Officer for the LSHTM Vaccine Centre. After my masters, I worked as a graduate trainee completing a project working with the UK Vaccine Innovation Pathway and my experience at LSHTM was key in shaping this work.
What I have been doing since graduating
I have taken the skills I gained during my masters to help improve healthcare and research access. I currently work in External Affairs at the National Institute for Health and Care Research where I liaise with policy makers and organisations across the research ecosystem to address government research priorities.
