Educational/professional background
Medical doctor, graduated from Cairo University (Class of 2022), Specialized in Community Medicine and Public Health, currently working at the National Research Centre (Egypt).
Research interests or career goals
My research interests are infectious disease control, Environmental sustainability, Epidemiology, Public Health and Community Medicine. I aim to lead public health initiatives that integrate clinical insight, policy design, and strategic planning with a focus on infectious disease control and health education for both medical students and communities.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
Community Medicine and Public Health is my chosen specialty, and infectious disease is its foundation. I’m driven to understand disease cycles and more importantly how to break them through effective, implementable programmes. The COVID-19 pandemic deepened my interest in vaccine efficacy, mutations, and global response strategies. LSHTM’s MSc offers the ideal platform to turn this passion into impact, especially in designing prevention strategies that protect lives and economies in vulnerable settings.
