LSHTM Together with Asia Network

About the network

The network seeks to provide networking opportunities for students, alumni and friends at LSHTM who are from Asia or interested in the region. The community brings a sense of belonging to its members and provides a place where LSHTM students from all over the world can get connected and learn from each other.

Together, the network believes that they can solve the public health issues in Asia.

Background

Regional cooperation between public health professionals is critical. The network wants to work as a hub to promote communication and collaboration between LSHTM students, alumni, and friends who are currently (or will be) working as public health professionals in Asia and other parts of the world.

What activities does the network organise?

  1. Group photo at LSHTM gate
  2. In-person networking events (picnic, potluck, marathon cheering, and other meet-ups)
  3. Online Zoom webinars with alumni and students
  4. LinkedIn connections with students and alumni

How to get involved?

Open to everyone at LSHTM (including full-time, part-time, and DL MSc and PhD students) who is interested in public health issues in Asia. LSHTM alumni can also join as alumni members or advisors. We would like to welcome staffs as well! This community is not exclusive to Asian nationality, but open to anyone who is interested in Asia.
