Welcome and Studying at LSHTM
Meet the Taught Programme Directors and find out more about being an MSc student at LSHTM.
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
An introduction to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at LSHTM.
Decolonising Global Health
This session will provide a very brief overview of colonialism and global health, and LSHTM’s role in both. We will have a discussion about decolonising global health with facilitated breakout rooms and finally, we will introduce the DGH group at LSHTM and how students can get involved.
Decolonising the Curriculum
The Decolonising the Curriculum Group works to support the faculties to build their understanding of what is meant to decolonise the curriculum and what practical steps teams might take when doing so.
The Fight Against Institutional Racism (FAIR) Network
FAIR is a network whose aim is to produce and share knowledge about anti-racist praxis and decoloniality for the LSHTM community. We also provide a space to help students recognise, navigate and tackle racism during their time at LSHTM wherever and whenever they encounter it.
Student Life & Support at LSHTM
Find out more about our Student Support Services, the different ways to get involved as an LSHTM student and how to make the most of your time in London.
Marketplace
Our Marketplace is the equivalent of a "freshers' fair", where you can find out more about the student services available to you and opportunities to get involved at LSHTM. Stands will be open throughout the event so drop in as your timetable allows, visit as many of the stands as you like and ask your questions. Full details of all the stands can be found on our Marketplace page.
IT Support & Digital Skills for Studying
Optional drop-ins for technical support with enrolment and accessing LSHTM email, intranet and Moodle; and to find out more about our digital skills for studying resources and training.
Accommodation Helpdesk
The Accommodation Helpdesk is a drop-in service for students still looking for a place to live in London during their studies. Our team of former LSHTM students will be on hand to offer guidance in your search. Open 12-5pm Monday-Friday during Welcome Week.
Social Café
Free time in your schedule? Grab a drink or snack from our Refectory and pop into the Social Café in our South Courtyard space, where you can get to know your fellow students in a relaxed environment.
