Decolonising Global Health & the Curriculum

This session will provide a very brief overview of colonialism and global health, and LSHTM’s role in both. The Decolonising the Curriculum Group works to support the faculties to build their understanding of what is meant to decolonise the curriculum and what practical steps teams might take when doing so.

The Fight Against Institutional Racism (FAIR) Network

FAIR is a network whose aim is to produce and share knowledge about anti-racist praxis and decoloniality for the LSHTM community. We also provide a space to help students recognise, navigate and tackle racism during their time at LSHTM wherever and whenever they encounter it.

Welcome Fair

Our Welcome Fair is the equivalent of a "freshers' fair", where you can find out more about the student services available to you and opportunities to get involved at LSHTM. Stands will be open throughout the event so drop in as your timetable allows, visit as many of the stands as you like and ask your questions. Full details of all the stands can be found on our Welcome Fair page.

IT Support

Optional drop-ins for technical information and support with logging in and accessing LSHTM email, software, wifi and other IT systems and services.

Digital Skills for Studying

During your time at LSHTM you will be required to use various digital tools during your study. These tools include referencing software, content creation, data analysis & presentation and many more. In this interactive session, we will talk to you about the digital learning tools at LSHTM and the resources available to support you to use these and develop your digital skills.

Getting Started with Moodle

The Moodle online learning environment is the first place you should look for programme and module information, assessment guidelines and to access and review resources associated with your programme. Often you can view or download documents, read information, watch videos as well as read and contribute to discussions in forums. In this interactive session, we will show you how to access Moodle and how to use the system. Specifically, we will show you how to use major Moodle learning tools as well as answer any questions you have.

Accommodation Helpdesk

The Accommodation Helpdesk is a drop-in service for students still looking for a place to live in London during their studies. Our team of former LSHTM students will be on hand to offer guidance in your search. Open 12-5pm Monday-Friday from Monday 18th - Friday 29th September.
