Book Launch: ‘The Politics of Drugs: Perceptions, Power and Policies’ by Susanne MacGregor

On Wednesday 15th November the Centre for History in Public Health held a book launch in the Manson Foyer at the School’s Keppel Street building to celebrate the publication of Professor Susanne MacGregor’s new book by Palgrave:

The Politics of Drugs: Perceptions, Power and Policies

  • Questions the current public representation of UK drugs policy
  • Aims to encourage open conversation around Drug Policy
  • Examines how drug use has changed in recent years

Professor Sir John Strang,  Head of the Addictions Department and Leader of the Addictions CAG (Clinical Academic Group) of Kings Health Partners AHSC (Academic Health Science Centre) and Alex Mold, Director of the Centre for History in Public Health introduced the book and Susanne made a short speech. Ingrid organised refreshments and the event was attended by colleagues from LSHTM and further afield.
