I am an NIHR Assistant Professor, combing NHS work as an Infectious Disease and General (Internal) Medicine specialist registrar with work as an academic at the school. I work on clinical epidemiology related to TB and HIV.
I previously lived and worked in Malawi (when doing my Wellcome-funded clinical PhD), but am now London-based. I work closely with Prof Peter MacPherson (now at Glasgow University) and Prof Liz Corbett (at the school), among others. I am member of the LSHTM TB Centre.

I am the co-module organiser (with Prof Liz Corbett) on the TB module in the MSc Infectious Disease.
Research
I have worked on community, primary care and hospital level studies: including TB Active Case Finding and diagnostic studies, but I have a particular interest in Advanced HIV Disease and reducing mortality among people living with HIV admitted to hospital.
I was PI of the CASTLE trial about enhanced TB diagnostics (Computer Aided Diagnosis chest X-ray and urine LAM testing), and am co-PI of the SaDAPT trial (Same Day ART in Presumptive TB) with colleagues in Lesotho, Malawi and Switzerland.
I also experience doing various systematic reviews related to TB and HIV, and being an expert contributor to several WHO guideline develop processes.
