I am an Infectious Diseases and General Medicine doctor in training. I completed a Wellcome Trust PhD Fellowship in Global Health in 2025 based at MRC The Gambia at LSHTM. My research focuses on the epidemiology and immunology of Streptococcus pyogenes (Strep A) in high-burden, resource-limited settings, with the ultimate goal of informing vaccine strategies to combat Strep A associated diseases including rheumatic heart disease (RHD) and severe invasive infections.

Teaching
I co led a rolling open R training curriculum at MRC Gambia between 2022-2024.
Research
My research focuses on the epidemiology and immunology of Strep A. I aim to understand the role of natural immunity to Strep A to guide the development of effective vaccine strategies. My research investigates naturally occurring immune responses to Strep A in populations with high disease burdens, particularly in The Gambia.
