Ms Sarah Sharpe

Communications Manager

United Kingdom

I lead communications for the Pathfinder Initiative to raise awareness of the health benefits of climate action and increase ambition to accelerate the transition to net zero. I previously led communications for LSHTM's Centre on Climate Change and Planetary Health and the WHO Collaborating Centre on Climate Change, Health and Sustainable Development, as well as various projects focusing on the intersection of climate change, the environment and public health.

I also previously supported with communications for the WOMAN Trials, the Research Consortium for School Health and Nutrition, the Centre for Global Chronic Conditions, and the Ebola Vaccine Projects.

Before joining LSHTM, I worked in communications consultancies in London and Paris, as well as for the Department of International Trade at the British Embassy in Tokyo. I have supported organisations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Wellcome Trust and the Global Nutrition Report, covering a range of issues including planetary health, infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, maternal health, family planning, nutrition, food systems and gender equality.

I have an MA in Modern Languages (French and Italian) from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
