World PPH Day: Turning evidence into action to reduce global maternal deaths
To mark World Postpartum Haemorrhage Day, LSHTM will convene a flagship online event bringing together WOMAN Trials collaborators from the UK, Nigeria, Pakistan, Tanzania and Zambia, as well as our community partners and women with lived experience.
Women continue to die from postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) despite the availability of effective treatments.
This webinar will provide an opportunity to share the latest evidence emerging from the WOMAN Trials, launch the Missing evidence report, and highlight the perspectives of women and communities affected by PPH.
The event will focus on both the scientific advances being made and the actions needed to improve maternal healthcare and reduce preventable maternal deaths.
New research is improving our understanding of anaemia, PPH diagnosis and treatment, but evidence alone is not enough. Women's voices, community engagement, and country-led action are all essential to improving outcomes.
This webinar is open to everyone, particularly those working across all areas of maternal health, including obstetricians, midwives, nurses, researchers, and policymakers.
