Overview - Practical Pharmacoepidemiology
Paragraph

The course runs from 19 to 23 October 2026.

There is unprecedented interest in estimating the safety and effectiveness of medicines. The widespread availability of real-world data, including electronic health records and other routinely-collected health information, offers opportunities to quickly generate real-world evidence to address these needs. However, translating into high-quality real-world evidence requires careful consideration of the scientific process. This includes identifying fit-for-purpose data and selecting the most appropriate design, measurement, and analysis methods to mitigate potential biases.

This intensive, online short course addresses the growing demand for professionals trained in developing and critiquing real-world evidence on the safety and effectiveness of medicines. The diverse backgrounds and expertise of our lecturers ensure a strong balance of theoretical insight and practical applications to provide the skills you need.
