I am currently studying for an MSc in Public Health at LSHTM. I am an obstetrics and gynaecology doctor and have worked with Medecins Sans Frontieres in South Sudan, Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire where my main role was to treat women with severe obstetrics and gynaecological conditions.

Having seen that the problem of high maternal mortality is not only a matter of clinical or medical problem but rather rooted in social and political problems, I also volunteered in the World Health Organization Western Pacific Regional Office, where I engaged in maternal mortality situational analysis in Papua New Guinea.

I’m extremely thankful for this opportunity, I would love to be actively involved in the work of MARCH centre, to get in touch with people working on the front line of the fields and to deepen my understanding of the issues.
