A medical doctor who has worked in clinical and public health settings in Uganda and South Sudan for over six years before joining the MSc. Epidemiology programme at the LSHTM in 2023 through the prestigious Chevening Scholarship.

In clinical practice, he managed mostly patients with infectious diseases but also those with chronic illnesses. He ran a weekly chronic conditions clinic where he provided consultation for patients in chronic care and those newly diagnosed. In the public health setting, he implemented the HIV Care and Treatment programme in South Sudan through an implementing partner of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). His major achievements included overseeing the roll-out of HIV Self-Testing and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services for the first time in the country’s programme.
